Welcome to PhenomenologyOnline. This website was originally launched in the early 1990s, drawn in part from my own work, including the text Researching Lived Experiences: Human Science for an Action Sensitive Pedagogy. Since that time, my enthusiasm for phenomenology as a method for human science inquiry has continued. I appreciate that people have variably interpreted my work, and how I articulated phenomenology has somewhat shifted over time. This current version of PhenomenologyOnline additionally draws on my text Phenomenology of Practice: Meaning-Giving Methods in Phenomenological Research and Writing. Under the inquiry tab, you will find a cloud of spheres which draws together different words expressing multiple meaningful significances for phenomenological inquiry. It is an interactive map which I hope will allow discovery and reflection on how different words may relate to one another to support understanding of their deeper meaning.
